‘The Fall’ by Ryan Cahill

3.5 Stars

The Fall is a prequel novella to The Bound and The Broken series. (Insert shameless plug for my review for book 1 here: Of Blood and Fire.)

This was a great little book for nerds of the series. It provides four point of view (pov) perspectives of the historic cataclysmic event referred to in Of Blood and Fire. If you want more 411 on this particular event then I feel you should read this novella after you read the first book. Reading The Fall first will in no way spoil Of Blood and Fire, but I sure do enjoy those “Ooooooh! That’s why…” kind of moments when reading prequels.

This novella has more of a short story anthology feel and each story contains its own intense action scene. It was an easy short read that provided some context for me. Since I am rather nerdy I did enjoy it, so I will recommend it for us nerds!
